About Me

LOCAL:

I have been an Apsley resident since my parents moved our blended family here in 1985. My mom, dad, 4 siblings and I arrived in June for the last few days of the school year. I am very proud to be a graduate of Apsley Central Public School as well as a graduate of Lakefield District Secondary School.  This community is my home!

I left Apsley when I was 17 to see what I could find in the world. While I was gone, I got married, bought and sold a few houses, had 3 children and worked as a Marketing and Editorial Co-ordinator for a North American trade magazine.  In 2003, after our divorce, I moved back to Apsley with my 3 children in tow.  The decision wasn’t easy; to raise my kids as a single mother I was going need all the support of my family in my home town!

GROWING:

Apsley has gone through some BIG changes SLOWLY, but much has changed in the past 5 years!  New infrastructure, highway expansions making travel time shorter for cottagers, and the growth of our community have helped us to welcome new members to our villages and our lakes! The overall beauty of our area is no longer our best kept secret! The world has discovered what we have to offer…and we will only get better from here!

I love this community, I feel a deep sense of pride for the entire North Kawartha area. We take care of each other when times get tough, work together to make meaningful positive change and we celebrate our successes and manage our failures together. There is something so beautiful about our area…  I cannot tell you, I must show you!

CAREER:

2018 begins my 4th year as a Sales Representative with Bowes and Cocks Ltd. Brokerage in Apsley. 2017 was my biggest year yet, selling over 2.6 million dollars in Real Estate put me number 11 in the company! I am proud and humbled by this. It is my sellers and buyers as well as their referrals that allow me to grow my business, and for that I am thankful. I return this gratitude to my community by working with different organizations year-round, including the Lions Club (by collecting donations for their annual yard sale), I am a Legion Executive Member, Hosting the Little Black Dress Gala in December and The Blackfly Ball at the Apsley Legion Branch 381 in June, and I volunteer weekly at the Apsley Central School Breakfast Club Program. We, as a community, have much to offer and I am looking forward to the coming year! We all win when we support each other! #strongertogether #happytoworkforyou #lovingthe656

BUILDING A TEAM:

Growing my business to help more people and give more to our community organizations has always been my goal. Slowly, over the next couple of years, I will be looking for like-minded people to be part of more than just a career. If you have interest in becoming a Sales Representative or working a great team. please email me directly; I would love to talk to you.
