Apsley has gone through some BIG changes SLOWLY! The Loss of Sayers Grocery store set our whole area back. Thankfully they are opening Spring 2024! The new look certainly updates the main street of Apsley, and it is a very nice view from our office across the street!

Other updated infrastructure in our Community includes, the Kemps Garage Shell gas station, the North Kawartha Community Center, Home of Apsley Minor Hockey and The North Kawartha Knights as well as Apsley Figure Skating Club and multiple service clubs and community events. The North Kawartha Public Library, with Free WIFI and multiple services for every age. Our new Apsley Central Public School has certianly grow since it was first built, it now has portables to house our growing community! The updated Medical Center is home of our local Family Dr, and Dentist Office with dentist and dental Hygienist.

The new and updated infrastructure, highway 407 expansion, making travel time shorter to and from the City, and the growth of our community have helped us to welcome new members to our villages and our lakes! The overall beauty of our area is no longer our best kept secret! The world has discovered what we have to offer…and we will only get better from here!

I love this community, I feel a deep sense of pride for North Kawartha and surrounding area. Growing up in Apsley, I have experienced first hand how we take care of each other when times get tough, work together to make meaningful positive change, celebrate our successes and manage our failures together. There is something we all share as community members, and that is the love for our area.

Career:

I became licensed in 2014, joining our Apsley Bowes & Cocks Brokerage. Our office has been in Apsley since before I moved to town in 1985. BOWES AND COCKS has been across Central Ontario with boutique style offices since 1956.
2024 marks my 10th year selling real estate in the area! This year we are expanding in the Bancroft Office and look forward to having a local place to meet with our Bancroft and area clients!

I am the proud sponsor of the Community Involvement Award at the Apsley Central Public School grade 8 graduation every year. It feels so good to be involved at the Public School where myself and my children graduated Grade 8. Now my granddaughter is in JK there too.

• I am a member of the Faraday Recreation Committee, hosting local community Events.
• Former Co-Chair of Peterborough and the Kawarthas Chamber of Commerce 2021 and proud Chamber member since 2016
• Former Apsley Legion Branch 381 Executive Member from 2015 to 2020, still active with events, including Emcee of Remembrance Day Ceremonies each year and setting up the haunted house for the kids each Halloween!
• I am proud to be the emcee for Creekside Music Festival in Apsley – since 2018
